Dukes-SteepleCats game
postponed due to rain
Michael Radomski
( NORTH ADAMS, Mass.) – The
Pittsfield Dukes and North Adams SteepleCats game was postponed
tonight at Joe Wolfe Field.
The two teams were scheduled to play the 4th in a series of 6 games
in the 2008 Battle of the Berkshires but heavy rain and a
water-logged field played a factor in postponing the game. No makeup
date has been announced yet.
The Pittsfield Dukes (20-12) remain in first place in the Southern
Division by 1 ˝ games over the Newport Gulls but have been rained
out on back to back nights.
On Wednesday, the Pittsfield Dukes were scheduled to host the
Manchester Silkworms but the game was postponed due to rain and
rescheduled for Friday night at Wahconah Park at seven. This contest
will be the next game for the Pittsfield Dukes and a potential
playoff matchup as Manchester sits in the fourth spot in the
Southern Division. The top four teams in each division advance to
the playoffs and the two teams are slated to play each other if the
season ended today.
The remainder of the Pittsfield Dukes’ regular season home schedule
looks like this:

SUNDAY VERMONT MOUNTAINEERS 5 PM
MONDAY TORRINGTON TWISTERS 1 PM
